Since she was a little girl, Elle has always been obsessed with handwriting, planners, pens and materials of the like. She can remember seeing someone else’s handwriting, loving their style and copying it over and over again until she learned it. She has always been the organization and handwriting queen amongst her friends and thrives with a pen in her hand. In 2017, Elle took her first traditional calligraphy class which sparked her creative passion again and led her to find artists and resources online to learn modern calligraphy on her own. Shortly after, “By Elle Designs" (formerly "Inked by Elle” )was born. At first, it was a way for her to showcase and practice her lettering techniques. Soon after, friends, family and others started to take note and would ask Elle to do lettering projects for them here and there. Today, she is working with clients to add a little ink, engraving, or design to their special event or every day. When she is not creating, she is most likely on an adventure with her kids, binge-watching Gilmore Girls, or finding a new recipe to try. Join me where I will be offering relaxed, casual three-card tarot card readings in the warm, inviting and super cool setting, perfect for gaining a little guidance, clarity or simply a moment to connect with yourself or to try out tarot for the first time. Whether you are navigating something specific that you wish to explore or just feeling curious, these readings are a gentle way to tune into the energy around you at this moment.
Grab a tasty brew, settle in & let's explore together what the cards have to share. no pressure, no expectations - just good vibes, some interesting insight to gain & a welcoming space to explore!

Summer Sip & Paint
We are excited to welcome back Colleen Sgroi! Come paint a summer sunset with your friends in watercolors. Class is taught by local artist Colleen Sgroi. Regardless if you have never painted with watercolors, a beginner or have painted, let Colleen guide you through the world of watercolors! All materials are provided for this class. Modern Calligraphy for Beginners
Join us at Modest Roots Brewing in Tyngsborough, MA for pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty afternoon out!
Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

Feel free to come early, grab your seat, and purchase any food or drinks (food and drinks are available to purchase throughout the class, too!). Class will start promptly at 1:00 PM!
Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics, and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style! If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!
A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child if you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We ask that a ticketed adult accompany anyone under the age of 16 at all times.

What You’ll Make
During this workshop, guests will create one or two custom artisan goat's milk soap bars depending on ticket selection. Choose from a variety of fragrance oils, skin-safe colorants, mica powders, dried botanicals, and decorative elements to design soaps that reflect your personal summer aesthetic.

Using your child's handprint or footprint, depending on their age, together we will make a super cute mug or beer stein for your favorite dad, uncle, grandpa, pop pop or whoever is in need of this amazing gift!! this is an awesome way to commemorate this special time in your child's life as these sweet hands and feet won't be this small forever!!
The process is easy and quick!! here's how it works:
i will paint your child's hand or foot using non-toxic pottery paints and will stamp the print onto the pottery. then, you and i will discuss design embellishments and the writing you would like and i do ALL THE REST!! i will take your pottery back to my studio where i will finish it and glaze it and fire it making it bright, shiny and food safe and will get in contact with you about pick up before father's day.
